It’s hot #OutOnTheRunTemperatures soared into the high 30s and low 40s for much of New South Wales on Friday.
Some of the highest temperatures include:
• 43C at Ivanhoe, Flowers Gap, Tibooburra and Wilcannia NSW
• 42C at White Cliffs and Hay NSW
• 41C at Penrith, Bourke, Cobar, Deniliquin and Griffith NSW
Today will see the heat continue across much of northern and eastern New South Wales with temperatures in the high 30s to low 40s around 6 to 12 C above the December average.
Extreme Fire Dangers are forecast for much of eastern and inland New South Wales today, due to the hot dry and windy weather.
Severe heatwave conditions are also forecast for parts of eastern New South Wales and today will be the last day of the heat with a cool change moving across New South Wales on Sunday.
