📍POONCARIE | Set

📍POONCARIE | Set on the eastern banks of the mighty Darling River #Pooncarie was once a busy river port transporting wool and goods up and down the Darling in paddle steamers - a real slice of Darling River history.

Today, it’s a relaxing stop with plenty to explore. Pull in, have a meal and a wander by the river, grab a cold one at the pub and enjoy the unhurried pace of Pooncarie.

It’s also a great place to base yourself to explore the nearby Mungo National Park, home to the ancient Walls of China, a must-do detour on the Darling River Run.

🦞 Stop in at Poon

🦞 Stop in at Pooncarie to visit the new Yabby Sculpture by artist Lindsay Butcher – a fun, photo-worthy tribute to river life and local character. Located at Bilbarka Park along the Darling River, it’s a perfect excuse to stretch your legs, snap a pic, and soak up the easy pace of this riverside village #OutOnTheRun.
